Wade saw the power of education to transform lives for generations. Growing up in rural Mississippi, Harold saw his sisters in law graduate from college, and was encouraged by his family to pursue his own college degree. After graduating from Memphis State with a bachelors and masters degree in education, Harold dedicated his career to helping others succeed in school. He spent most of his career
in Christian education, serving as a teacher, principal, and finally as a superintendent at several schools, including Lubbock Christian, Dallas Christian, Ft. Worth Christian, and Westbury Christian. Throughout his career, Harold sought to encourage and support both students and staff members, challenging them to be their best and to use the opportunities that they had to change their lives for the better. His loving approach touched hundreds of students, and transformed not only their lives, but the lives of those with whom they later worked. Wade Memorial Scholarship, we are seeking to honor Harold’s legacy as a Christian educator by raising the funds for an endowed scholarship. Your one time tax deductible donation will allow us to establish a fund which will provide annual earnings to give an annual scholarship to a student to attend a Christian college or university. Since the scholarship is supported by the endowment earnings, your one time donation will bless generations of students, and continue Harold’s incredible work for decades to come.
