Ho**er and his wife, Bonnie, own Hillcrest Gardens. They grow a wide assortment of historical, tall bearded, median, Louisiana and Spuria irises. Both Ho**er and Bonnie are active Hybridizers of bearded and Louisiana irises.

What is a pseudata? Well, join us on October 10th at 10:30 am to find out!

Ho**er Nichols, a hybridizer from Dallas will present a program on how to grow pseudatas, and what they are. Our meeting is in the Garrison Campus Center on the McMurry University campus.

It was great fun to watch! People were standing around like vultures protecting the items they bid on!! Until the countdown- then it became a crazy fight, (a friendly fight, at least!!)

The auction was great! Sharon bought ‘You make me Blush”, and Laurie bought “Pure Art.”
Now we are playing Bingo and we have all won a rhizome! Pug got “Oil Painting”, Sharon got “Crystal Fountain”, and Laurie got Breakfast in Bed” and “East Hampton.”

Then we learned about judging tall bearded by Cynthia Wade. Very informative!

Several of our members are attending the American Iris Society’s Region 17 meeting. This is basically the state of Texas Iris Society meeting. Each year there is a Silent Auction beginning on Friday and ending on Saturday evening. There are some great baskets and items this year! We are learning about Louisiana irises this year!
