Mayra Ochoa got her FFA jacket today! Mayra was the first, and as of today, the only member to recite the FFA Creed from beginning to end. She worked hard to earn it and it paid off. There is still one jacket up for grabs. Come on, Greenhands!

Our first time at HOT Fair was one to remember! We took 5 goats and 3 kids. Day one started with wether does. All kids and goats did a great job, Wayland Hoetger and Kyler Gaither showed their does in the same class. The day ended with Addie Frazier competing in the showmanship showdown. Tuesday was the scholarship wether show. Addie showed in classes 7 and 9. She placed 2nd and made the division drive! Today in the premium show, she placed 4th and 9th! We are so proud of all of their hard work and it paid off!

Barn layout has been added for our jackpot. Judges have also been updated and we are still taking sponsorships. Don't miss out on a great show and lots of beautiful buckles and banners.

We’re looking for the realtors, landscapers, builders, electricians, and all the individuals and businesses that help make our community great!

Let’s get YOUR name in the show ring at the Warbird Challenge! As a sponsor, you’ll receive social media shout-outs and have your name featured on our backdrop banner for exhibitors, families, and visitors to see.

It’s a chance to get your name out in the community while standing behind our Abilene High FFA kids. Whether you’re representing a business or showing support as a family or friend, we’d love to have you be part of this year’s show!

State Fair for our chapter wrapped up this week with the wether doe show and Ag Awareness Day. Emery Alexander showed yesterday in a tough class. For the first time, Ag Awareness Day overlapped with us showing so our Greenhands and officers got to come see us in action. They got to experience the fair and learn about agriculture in Texas. This is always a favorite trip and everyone had a great time. Thank you to Mrs. Hindman for stepping in and helping get them here and home and to Mrs. Salisbury for keeping them safe on the road. Next up is HOT Fair and Big Country District Greenhand Camp.

Our State Fair shows started off with barrows in both waves. Anniston, Gentry and Hagen Johnson showed their pigs and did a great job. No pens but good experience and practice for this season. Next week we come back for wether does and Ag Awareness Day. It’s a busy time for our chapter!
