The Palm House community garden has entered a beautiful new season. Our space now features seven newly planted beds growing rows of fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Right now neighbors are greeted with bright blooms budding alongside tomatoes, peppers, and leafy greens. Creating a space that is both welcoming and nourishing is a gentle reminder of God’s goodness and provision in every season.
This garden is more than soil and seeds; it is an extension of our mission to serve our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and love. We believe every person should have access to fresh, healthy produce. In many communities, nutritious food can be difficult to access or simply too expensive for families already carrying heavy burdens. Our hope is that this garden becomes one small way to help meet a need while reminding our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
We are also excited to begin incorporating these freshly grown vegetables and herbs into the meals served through our programs. There is something deeply meaningful about preparing and sharing food that has been lovingly planted, tended, and harvested in our own front yard. Volunteers, staff, and neighbors have all played a role in rebuilding the beds and preparing the garden for this new chapter, and we are grateful for every hand that has helped bring it to life.
