The Detachment is saddened by the recent lost of Joseph H. Hudson, one of our beloved charter members, who passed away earlier this week. Joe earned the rank of Corporal while in the Marine Corps. We will all miss Joe very much, Rest in Peace Marine and Semper Fi.

If you are able to attend any of the following services, it would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation hour followed by farewells and a Rosary prayer at Hamil Funeral Home on Buffalo Gap Rd.

Catholic funeral mass at Holy Family Catholic Church on Buffalo Gap Rd

A luncheon for all will be provided by the church family in the parish hall.

Joe’s last duty station will be at the Texas Veterans Cemetery with full Military funeral Honors.

Awesome day hanging out with Detachment members, and the Marines with Det. 1, Maintenance Co, CLB-453.

We had the privilege of cooking 80 pounds of taco meat, and preparing all of the fixings to serve the Marines at their annual family fun day picnic.

Thanks to all of those who volunteered their time to make this successful. We hope to continue doing this event every year.

100 Marines showed up for an Iwo Jima veteran’s 100th Birthday

Cpl. Eddie Vincek came ashore on Iwo Jima in the battle's first hours. In September, 100 helped him celebrate his 100th birthday.

We would like to share with everyone the upcoming goals for the Detachment over the next year. These goals will only be possible if we all join together to achieve them. We would incourage all previous, current, and future Detchmemt members to get involved to make this happen.
