💙 **MORE THAN A PROGRAM. IT'S A COMMUNITY.**

When we talk about FaithWorks of Abilene, we often highlight career development, job training, internships, and preparing students for employment.

But there's another side of FaithWorks that deserves just as much attention. ❤️

**The physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual support that happens along the way.**

🌿 **Physical Support:** Students have access to daily meals and assistance with basic needs, helping relieve some of the everyday pressures that can make moving forward difficult.

🧠 **Mental Support:** Through guidance, counseling, and personal development, students learn to recognize their strengths, work through challenges, and build confidence in themselves.

❤️ **Emotional Support:** FaithWorks offers encouragement, understanding, meaningful relationships, and a community of people who genuinely care about one another's progress.

✝️ **Spiritual Support:** Through Bible study, prayer, and reflection, students have opportunities to grow in faith, discover purpose, and find hope.

🍽️ **And sometimes, one of the most meaningful parts of the day happens around the table.**

Students share meals together, have conversations, build friendships, laugh, encourage one another, and develop a sense of belonging.

Those moments matter.

Because sometimes what a person needs isn't just another class, another lesson, or another opportunity.

Sometimes they need someone to listen. Someone to believe in them. A place where they feel welcome. A community that reminds them they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

💙 **BEHIND THE SCENES, MAKING A DIFFERENCE!**

The generosity didn't stop in the garden!

During First Financial Bank's Day of Service, several amazing volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped us tackle projects inside our **FaithWorks Clothing Shoppe**!

They spent their time sorting and organizing clothing, moving items, and helping us clear out approximately a dozen boxes of donations that were taken to Goodwill.

These may seem like simple tasks, but they make a meaningful difference in helping us maintain a welcoming, organized space for the individuals we serve.

At FaithWorks, we believe that community support comes in many forms. Sometimes it's a financial gift. Sometimes it's a kind word. And sometimes it's a group of people showing up, ready to work, simply because they care. ❤️

🌱 **GROWING SOMETHING GOOD TOGETHER!** 💙

What a difference a day of service can make!

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to the incredible volunteers from **First Financial Bank** who spent part of their Monday giving back to FaithWorks of Abilene!

Approximately 15 volunteers joined us, with nearly half of the group dedicating their morning to our community garden. From digging and planting to spreading mulch and cleaning up, they worked hard to make this space even more beautiful and welcoming.

Our garden is more than just a place where things grow. It's a space that represents community, connection, and the care that goes into helping others thrive.

To everyone who gave their time, energy, and hard work — **THANK YOU!** Your generosity is a wonderful reminder of what happens when our community comes together.

🌟 STAFFSPOTLIGHT | Meet Casey Crosby!

At FaithWorks of Abilene, our volunteers do more than share their time and talents — they become part of a community dedicated to helping others grow.

Meet Casey Crosby, one of our classroom instructors!

Casey joined FaithWorks six weeks ago after being referred by someone who had been through the program. He felt his skills could be helpful and decided to get involved.

When asked what has been most meaningful about his experience, Casey shared:

💙 “Being able to witness, in real time, the growth of the students.”

And when asked what he would tell someone considering volunteering with FaithWorks, his answer says it all:

✨ “It's not just classes, but community.”

We are so thankful for Casey and the time, knowledge, and encouragement he brings to our students!
