Join the VLB for an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.

U.S. Navy Veteran Michael Lynn Bishop will be laid to rest on Tuesday, August 18th, at 10:00 a.m.

Please help us spread the word, and if you have the opportunity, please come out and attend.

We will always ensure that no Veteran is buried alone.

The official theme for both programs is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America." All entries must be submitted to a local participating VFW Post by Midnight, October 31. Use the QR codes if submitting through Abilene Post 6873.
All entries are now submitted on line.

In cooperation with the Salvation Army on the Annual school supply drive. Donations were made on behalf of the VFW Auxiliary and Post 6873 members. The donations will help underprivileged children in Abilene area.

Thank you to all the VFW, Auxiliary, and community members who attended the funeral service for Specialist Steven Louis McCarley, U.S. Army Veteran. Your presence at his unaccompanied veteran burial at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery ensured that he was laid to rest with dignity and honor.
No veteran is ever left behind.
