Desk and Derrick Club of Abilene Welcome to the Desk & Derrick Club of Abilene! We promote the education and professional development of energy professionals and the general public.

The Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs of North America was formed in 1951 when the first four Desk and Derrick Clubs (New Orleans, LA; Jackson, MS; Los Angeles, CA; and Houston, TX) signed the Articles of Association. The first Association convention was held in 1952. The purpose of the Association is to promote the education and professional development of individuals employed in the energy s

ector and allied industries. The Association is broken into Regions. Abilene's Desk and Derrick Club is in Region V which includes clubs from West Texas, Southeast New Mexico, California and Hawaii.
