The 37th Annual Kirk Goodwin 5k Run will be held on April 24th, 2021

ACU just recently gave us the all clear so we are currently figuring out the exact time, place, and price of the run.

This year we have one beneficiary, the Stiefer family. Corbin Stiefer was a Member of The Men of Galaxy and pledged in 2018. Corbin passed early this year and the money raised this year will be donated to Camp Deer Run where they will build a cabin in his name.

We are also looking for donors and sponsors for the run. If you would like to help by donating to the run, or just want more information, message us here on this page or get in contact with me via email

After reading the last post over , I realized that I did not state ways in which to donate. We are still taking monetary donations of any amount and 100% of your donation will go towards our two beneficiaries. Hello all,
I regret to inform all of you that this years race will be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This is a decision that was not easy to make, but is very necessary.

Going forward, we still stand by our commitment to these 2 families by helping as much as we possibly can. We are still actively taking donations, and will still be ordering shirts for those who signed up.

The tradition started in 1984 to keep this run going does not stop here. We will be back next year and hope to see you then.

Praying for all during this time, and hope everyone stays healthy.

Hello all, my name is Craig Morris and I am this years race director for the KGR.

If you haven’t heard by now, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) ACU will extend its spring break to March 20th, and will continue with online classes until April 9th. As you know, we have planned on the race being held on April 4th, which falls in this time frame. We are actively monitoring the situation to insure runner safety, but as of now we will plan on the race continuing as originally anticipated.

We will continue to post updates as we are informed.

The 36th Annual Kirk Goodwin 5k Run will be held on April 4th, 2020

Admission is $25 per entry or $20 for students. Sign-ups will be held from 11-12 on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday's in the ACU Campus Center. Registration closes March 30th.

All proceeds will go towards medical expenses for our two beneficiaries: Gabriella Goodspeed and Joshua White.

Race Day check in will be held at 9 am in front of the Hardin Administration Building (1600 Campus Ct.)
