December 23rd – Board Meeting
January 8th – First General Meeting 6:30pm (ACU Rec Center 1950 ACU Drive Abilene, TX Room # )
January 10th – Teams First Practices
January 10th – State Dues Need to be paid (this is to insure and allow us to place you on field)
January 11th – First Training Session New officials 1pm – 5pm (Site to be determined)
January 15th – Training 5pm (Site to be determined)/ General Meeting 6:30pm ACU Rec Center
January 22nd – Training 5pm (TBA) / General Meeting 6:30pm ACU Rec Center
January 24th – 25th – First Weekend for High School Scrimmages
January 26th – Coaches Meeting 1pm (TBA)
January 29th – Training 5:00pm/General Meeting 6:30pm
January 31st/February 1st – High School Scrimmages
February 5th – Training 5pm/General Meeting 6:30pm
February 7th/8th – Finish up Scrimmages
February 10th – Regular Season Begins
February 12th – Training 5pm/ General Meeting 6:30pm
February 13-15 – Clyde Tournament
February 19th – Training 5pm / General Meeting 6:30pm
February 20-22 – Abilene Icebreaker Tournament
February 26th – Training 5pm / General Meeting 6:30pm
February 27- March 1st – Eula Tournament
February 27 – March 1st – Eastland Tournament
March 5th – Training 5pm /General Meeting 6:30pm
March 19th – Training 5pm / General Meeting 6:30pm
March 19th – Local Dues needs to be paid (New Officials Exempt) If Dues owed pay Randy Davis at the General Meeting on this day.
April 2nd – General Meeting / Board Nominations Open/ Open positions for 2025 – President, Secretary, Board Member #2
April 16th – General Meeting / Board Elections for 2026-2027 seasons
April 18th – Regular Season Ends
April 22nd – District Certifications due to UIL
April 24th – UIL Playoffs begins

Please see below Article III of the Abilene LSHSSU By Laws pertaining to your Membership duties for the 2025 Season:

General meetings will be mandatory. We will have in person meetings at ACU Recreation Center and offer Zoom for Out-of-Town officials to join. We will have 12 Meetings during the season 2/3 attendance required (8 meetings) to be in good standing for post season consideration.



Look forward to seeing everyone on January 8th. Ready for another exciting season of High School Softball. We need to do our part to be the best we can be. This means training, reading rules books, working and reading proper mechanics, learning from mistakes made on field. This chapter has a great reputation throughout the state because of the officials that came before us and the current officials that constantly work on getting better game by game. Let’s continue this high standard during the 2025 season for the Abilene Chapter.
