Join us for a Throwback Sock-Hop! On Sep. 3 from 6-8pm, visitors will have the opportunity to attend a throwback sock hop to celebrate the ๐˜ž๐˜ฆโ€™๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜Ž๐˜ฐ๐˜ต ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต: ๐˜š๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ ๐˜—๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ exhibition. Come dressed in your favorite 1950s-inspired prom attire, and dance and enjoy refreshments in the History Galleries while learning about local school history.

Last week we enjoyed hearing from Michael Hurd, sports writer and historian, as he spoke about his book, ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜บ ๐˜•๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต ๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต๐˜ด. Hurd shared the stories he gathered with precision, passion, and humor. At the end of his talk, some members of the audience also shared memories and experiences about their time in the PVIL. Hurd then spent time signing books and talking with attendees.

Spots are going quickly for our Grace Studio, our adult art class, happening on Aug. 27th from 6-8pm! Save your spot today! ๐ŸŽจ

Join us for a fun night of painting poppies on plexiglass, as we take inspiration from the glass artwork of Texas artist Carlyn Ray and her use of translucent color. Participants will receive step-by-step instructions and will go home with artwork that can be displayed on a desk, counter, or windowsill to let sunlight intensify the painted colors. Join us for a toddler art class in September! Tot Spot is designed for preschoolers (ages 3-5) and their families to get creative at The Grace Museum! Attendees will go on a mini gallery tour, then use watercolor paints on fabric. Attendees will also have access to Spark Art + History following class.

Tot Spots occur monthly on the first Thursday and Friday during the school year (excepting October).
