Last month, the Abilene Ballgown Collection gave out 16 prom dresses and 1 wedding dress. That is the most we have ever been able to do in a single month.

Thank you to everyone who donated dresses, shared posts, spread the word, or simply cared enough to help make someone else feel special. Because of your kindness, so many girls and one beautiful bride were able to experience moments they will never forget.

I truly believe little acts of love can make a big difference in someone’s life, and last month was a beautiful reminder of that. Thank you for loving people you may never even meet. 🫶🏻

I’ll have the condo open today from 1:00–2:00 PM for anyone needing to come look at dresses for this upcoming week. I’d like to keep this time available for those who have prom this weekend. If your prom is on a different date, I’ll plan to set up another time next week. I know it’s a short window, and I truly apologize for that. Between work and getting ready for my own daughter’s prom this weekend, things are a little full right now, but I still wanted to make sure everyone has an opportunity to find something if they NEED it. I will need to start setting more structured times moving forward. As much as I wish I could meet at any time, after 6pm is hard for me to do on a weekdays. I hope you all understand that this is something I do completely on my own time and at no cost. It truly comes from the heart, and I’m so grateful to be able to help when I can.

Hey y’all! 💖

I just wanted to pop on here real quick and say if I haven’t gotten back to you yet, I promise I’m not ignoring you. We’ve had a LOT of activity come through in a short amount of time, and I’m working my way through everyone as fast as I can.

I’m currently in Wichita Falls at a REALTOR conference, but I’m still trying to respond as messages come in. I’ll be back in town tomorrow!

I’ll have the condo open on Thursday from 4:30–6:00 PM for anyone who would like to come look. To help keep things organized, I’m asking that only those with prom in the next two weeks attend this time.

For those with prom in May, don’t worry at all, I will be setting up additional times just for you

If you know of any local stores, boutiques, or organizations that sell, rent, or donate formal dresses, please drop their names in the comments.

Another round of dresses just came in from Isabella James Bridal . They donated 14 dresses, and we are beyond grateful. This kind of generosity is what makes our community so special. Thank you for supporting others in such a meaningful way.

A huge thank you to Darrin Cox with Abilene Youth Homeless for donating 98 ballgowns to the Abilene Ballgown Collection. What a powerful reminder of how much good can come from community support. These dresses will make so many girls feel special.
