With the ongoing government shutdown affecting many households, we understand it can be overwhelming knowing where to start. We want to ensure everyone has access to food resources. Below is a list of Abilene food pantries available to assist.

Yall ready for the next one? We are excited to have you back at The People's Plaza next Sunday, from 3pm-7pm for another community meal & basic needs hub event! No sign-ups, requirements, or exclusions. All are welcome. We hope to see you there! 💖

We will also be doing a donation drive for hygiene products, diapers, wipes, baby formula/food, etc. on Thursday, June 26th from 3pm-7:30pm to have items to give to the community at the meal! Drop offs can be made any point during that time Thursday at Abilene PRIDE Alliance’s office at 1290 S Willis St, Suite 121.

And just like that, the Abilene Community Fridge is back in action!

Now it’s time for a restock- bring any extra shelf stable goods, beverages, and fresh produce you have on hand. We get especially excited about cold waters and sports drinks in this weather!

Who knows? Maybe you’ll find just the snack you’re looking for while you’re dropping off your extras. The fridge is for everyone. Give what you can, take what you need!

Hi there friends! Unfortunately our fridge couldn’t handle another deeply hot Texas summer. We’ll be moving the broken fridge out for safety reasons, but we still have shelves and welcome shelf-stable donations! In the meantime, if you (or someone you know) have a fridge you’re trying to get rid of, please reach out to us! We’re actively looking 👀

WE’RE OPEN FOR BUSINESS, YALL!!!

We had some technical difficulties over the last few weeks and we’re SO THRILLED TO BE BACK!!!! The new fridge is a lil less pretty, but at least she’s cold!
