🌦️ Rain or shine, Midwest Street Medicine will be out on rounds tonight.

The weather may change, but our commitment to our neighbors does not. We will be making our regular stops to provide medical assistance, basic supplies, support, and a listening ear to those who need it.

If you are unhoused, housing insecure, need medical help, supplies, Narcan, or simply someone to talk with, come see us. All services are free.

We believe in meeting people where they are—through the sunshine, the wind, and even the rain.

Midwest Street Medicine-Aberdeen will soon be following in the footsteps! Stay tuned for more!!

It's easy to take clear vision for granted.

Until your glasses are held together with layers of tape and hope.

Out on the streets, we regularly meet people wearing broken glasses, outdated prescriptions, or no glasses at all. When you're trying to navigate appointments, medications, employment, transportation, and daily life, being able to see matters.

While we don't prescribe eyeglasses, we do help provide reading glasses and corrective eyewear that can make an immediate difference while people work toward more comprehensive eye care.

Sometimes healthcare looks like medications.
Sometimes it looks like wound care.

And sometimes it looks like helping someone see the world clearly again. 🧡

These donations may look like simple supplies, but to the people we serve, they mean comfort, dignity, care, and hope. From hygiene kits and wound care supplies to everyday essentials, every item helps us meet people where they are and provide the support they need.

We truly could not do this work without the generosity of our community. Whether you donate supplies, volunteer your time, share our posts, or make a monetary contribution, you are making a direct impact in the lives of our neighbors.

Wednesday Night Rounds ❤️

What an incredible evening of outreach and connection. These photos capture what Midwest Street Medicine is all about—showing up, meeting people where they are, and serving our community with compassion, dignity, and respect.

We are truly honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside our neighbors, listen to their stories, provide support, and offer medical care when and where it is needed. Every conversation, every smile, every wound cared for, and every hand extended reminds us why this work matters.

None of this happens alone. It takes dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and hearts to serve others. We are grateful for every member of our team and for the community that continues to support this mission.

🌟 A huge THANK YOU to the YLF Delegates! 🌟

Today, this amazing group volunteered their time and energy to help Midwest Street Medicine pack more than 120 snack packs for our neighbors in need. Their willingness to serve made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for their helping hands and generous hearts!

Because of this effort, our snack pack supplies have been depleted, and we are now in need of restocking so we can start repacking in two weeks. Donations of the following items are greatly appreciated:

🥩 Beef sticks
🍎 Applesauce pouches
🥜 Individually packaged trail mix
🍪 Breakfast bars or breakfast cookies
🧃 Small juice boxes
🥛 Shelf-stable yogurt pouches

A huge thank you to our supporters!

Every donation, large or small, helps Midwest Street Medicine continue meeting people where they are and providing care, comfort, and support to our neighbors in need.

This week we received a wonderful variety of supplies including rain ponchos, tarps, paracord, lip balm, children’s medication, antacids, acid reducers, and other practical items that will be put to good use on the streets and during outreach rounds.

These items may seem simple, but they make a real difference. A rain poncho can help someone stay dry during a storm. Lip balm provides relief from painful, cracked lips. Tarps and cord can help create temporary shelter. Over-the-counter medications such as Children’s Advil, Tums, and Famotidine help us address everyday health concerns when access to care is limited.

Because of generous community support, we are able to carry essential supplies, provide basic medical assistance, offer encouragement, and build relationships with those we serve.

Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and practical support. We couldn’t do this without you.
