🏊 MEET THE BOARD: JEFF LARSON 🏊
After growing up in Aberdeen and spending 20 years away from the area, Jeff Larson returned home with a background spanning 23 years in education and coaching. Today, he works in sales and is back into coaching football this fall at RHS.
Jeff’s connection to Aberdeen Swim Club began when his daughter, Mali, joined ASC in 2021 after a successful tryout. What started as a new activity for Mali quickly gave Jeff a whole new appreciation for the sport of swimming.
💙 Why did he join the ASC Board?
Jeff was impressed by the organization and structure of the club—and even more impressed by the way competitive swimming has helped Mali grow mentally, socially and physically.
As a longtime coach, Jeff believes strongly in the power of sports to develop athletes, strengthen families and build community. Serving on the board is his way of giving back to a club that has given so much to his family.
🌟 What does he hope to accomplish?
Simply put, Jeff wants to help ASC continue to grow, evolve and develop as a successful member-run organization.
One of his favorite parts of swimming is watching athletes work hard toward a goal and experience that moment when they achieve a personal best. For Jeff, there’s nothing quite like seeing an athlete’s excitement when their hard work pays off!
🏊♂️ If Jeff could swim one event? The 200 fly—because, as he puts it, “success isn't given to you, you have to be willing to do the hard things.”
We’re grateful for Jeff’s experience, perspective and commitment to helping ASC continue moving forward! 💙🤍
Stay tuned as we continue introducing the people behind Aberdeen Swim Club!
