Maiah Fuchs of Horace High School is the recipient of the Dakota Territory District Exchange's Youth of the Year Award for 2025-26. District Vice President Don Peck was in attendance at the West Fargo Exchange Club's Spring Student Recognition Luncheon on May 13th to present the award to Maiah.

Maiah was Horace's Student of the Month in March and also was selected as her school's Student of the Year. She is very active at school and in the community. Maiah plans on attending the University of Minnesota with the goal of becoming an attorney.

Congratulations to Maiah and thank you to the District for selecting her for this award!

Brody Engelstad of West Fargo High School is the inaugural recipient of the Dakota Territory District Exchange’s Legacy of the Year Award. Brody is the grandson of long-time West Fargo Exchange Club member Arland Rasmussen.

This new award recognizes high school students who are children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of current Exchange Club members, and who will graduate from high school this year, OR complete GED classes by the age of 19. Candidates should also display exceptional community involvement and leadership skills. This program rewards outstanding young people and provides incentives for others to serve their country and communities. Brody was West Fargo High's Student of the Month for April 2026.

The Exchange Club of Aberdeen hosted the 2026 Dakota Territory District Convention May1-3 with the theme "AMERICA 250 Celebrating Americanism and Strong Communities".
