The Aberdeen Area Humane Society serves the Northern South Dakota and Southern North Dakota Area. We are a non-profit organization and are funded by memberships, donations, fundraisers and adoptions.

Meet Henry! He is a purebred male beagle who just turned 5 this month. Since he's an energetic puppy at heart, he needs someone who can keep up with him and give him the active lifestyle he loves. He is looking for a new home because he is a bit *too* energetic to live with young children.

🌟 Spotlight of the Week: Naya 🌟

Meet Naya, a 3.5-year-old spayed Rottweiler mix who has been waiting far too long for her forever home. Naya came to us in January 2024 as a transfer from tribal land and has been patiently hoping for a family of her own ever since.

Naya can be nervous in new situations and may take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she's a cuddly, loving companion who enjoys being close to her people. She is housetrained and knows basic commands, making her an easy addition to the right home.

Naya does well with kids but is not a fan of cats. She can be selective about her dog friends, so a meet-and-greet is required for any potential canine siblings.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a chance to shine, Naya may be the perfect match for you. Come meet her and see why we think she's so special! ❤️🐾

The animals at **Aberdeen Area Humane Society** are counting on your support!

This week, our most-needed items are:

🧺 Liquid laundry soap
🧴 Bleach
🗑️ Kitchen-size trash bags
🐱 Clumping cat litter

These everyday supplies help us keep our shelter clean, comfortable, and healthy for the many cats and dogs in our care. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps us focus our resources on caring for the animals.

*HUGE* thank you to the 3M Women's Leadership Group and everyone they brought for our Sunday morning dog walking yesterday! ❤🎉😁

Not only did they take most of our resident pups out for good long walks, they also brought us a giant pile of goodies and donations to help us keep the shelter going!!

Meet Coco, the 3 year old Mastiff/Cane Corso/Great Dane Mix. She is up to date on vaccines but still needs to be spayed. She would do best in a home where she is the only dog. She does do well with cats and kids. She is kennel and house trained.
