Aberdeen Area Humane Society It is our mission to shelter animals, adopt animals into good homes & rescue animals from abuse. Applications cannot be processed Saturday- Monday.

The Aberdeen Area Humane Society serves the Northern South Dakota and Southern North Dakota Area. We are a non-profit organization and are funded by memberships, donations, fundraisers and adoptions.

**How our adoption process works: Applications are processed in the order that they come in. We love our animals and want to give them a perfect home while being fair to all interested parties. Applications can be filled out in person or online at anewleashonlife.net

Smilodon is ready to meet you tomorrow! He is a very happy little guy who enjoys the company of other cats and humans. We’re unsure how he feels about dogs but will likely do fine. He’s a purring machine and has the sweetest little meow. 🩵

Kitties that were brought in via Animal Control. If you recognize any, please give us a call! 605-226-1200

Also, the dog kennels are full! We will be doing open walk thrus from 1-4pm today, but please be aware that we have many new friends who are pretty nervous about being at the shelter. The kennels are extra loud right now. If you're out shopping today, we would love some chew bones to give our pets to help the settle into their new temporary home.

HAPPY WISHLIST WEDNESDAY!

Our most needed item this week goes to the kitties again. We are in need of wet kitten food. Brands we use most often are Fancy Feast, Iams, and Science Diet.

Our furry little friends appreciate you kindly! Kittens like Cottontail, pictured here, depend on wet food to keep them strong and healthy. Cottontail is about 9 weeks old and will be ready for adoption soon!

The kitty is a male with no microchip or collar. He was found near the Dakota Prairie Museum on S Main St.

CLAIMED!! The dog is a male with a collar, but no tags or microchip. He was found on the 1200 block of 12th Ave SE.

Fees to be paid upon pickup.
