As we head into Memorial Day weekend, BNSF railroaders are making a lasting impact in their communities through service beyond the rails.

In Aberdeen, South Dakota, three BNSF locomotive engineers and veterans helped lead an effort that raised $150,000 in fewer than two years to build a Gold Star Families Memorial Monument honoring families who lost loved ones in military service.

Supported by fellow railroaders, local businesses and the Aberdeen community, the memorial now provides a peaceful place for reflection, remembrance and connection for Gold Star families.

We are just over a month away from our 12th annual poker run!! This one’s for you Bossman!!

We will be selling 50/50 tickets with the proceeds going to the purchase and upgrades of the depot Veterans center in Bossman’s memory.

We’ll also be selling raffle tickets 1 for $10 and 3 for $20 for a chance to win a custom fire pit or custom metal eagle.

All vehicles are welcome and we hope to see you there!!

Aberdeen, let's support this! This small group of 30 bikers is trying and has had made a difference in this community. We've, done several projects behind the scenes, supporting veterans in various ways. Projects include, removing barriers for the disabled at Anderson Park, a bathroom remodel for a Korean War veteran, donations to the Aberdeen Area Veterans to purchase the Old Depot, getting rent up to date and other good will donations to get veterans back their feet. Our proudest moment was being able to bring the Gold Star Memorial to Aberdeen with support of this amazing community. As we see it.
It's a hand UP, not a hand out. Money raised at this event supports the SD Veterans Home in Hot Springs,SD, but also local Veterans in any any evevy way way can as fundraising is our only way to to continue our mission. Thank you Aberdeen!! Let's do this this together, we have tremendous things to accomplish!!!
