Huge thank you to Solid Coffee for their continued support of our program! Today we had a graduate of our program stop by to check in and when she saw that we had a baked goods donation from Solid, she talked about how much she missed that part of the program and how much it helped her and her family during their stay! She was excited to go home with some treats today!

We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from our Grays Harbor community! With just 10 days left until our signature annual benefit, "There's No Place Like Home," we have only 21 tickets remaining.

Dolly’s legacy is such a powerful reminder of why community matters. Whether it's putting a book in a child's hands or helping a family secure a safe place to sleep, every single act of love ripples forward. Huge shoutout to Family Promise of Greater Wichita for putting this so beautifully!

Tonight, along with so many, we’re remembering Dolly Parton - and one of the things we love most about her had nothing to do with a stage. 💛

Dolly understood something we believe deeply at Family Promise:

You don’t have to be a child’s parent to help shape their future.

Through decades of generosity - and especially through her extraordinary commitment to childhood literacy - she invested in children she would never meet, simply because she believed they deserved the opportunity to learn, imagine, and dream. Her Imagination Library grew to put books into the hands of millions of children around the world, including many Family Promise kids.

Dolly’s efforts feel very familiar around here.

Every week, we watch volunteers prepare meals for someone else’s children. Donors invest in their futures. Churches create places for them to play. Community partners help their parents overcome barriers. And countless people decide that the wellbeing of children they may never know personally is still worth showing up for.

Because children don’t grow up in isolation.

They grow up surrounded by all of us.

Dolly showed us all what can happen when someone takes their gifts, their resources, their influence - and uses them to make the world a little better for the children coming behind them.

What a beautiful legacy to leave.

Thank you, Dolly, for loving generations of children so well. We’ll keep doing our part, too. 💛

Happy International Left-Handers Day to all the southpaws out there—including our very own Executive Director, Darci! ✋💙

Being a left-handed leader in a right-handed world requires adaptability, creative problem-solving, and seeing things from a unique perspective—qualities Darci brings to Family Promise of Grays Harbor every single day as she advocates for local families.

While only about 10% of the world is left-handed, it takes 100% of our community working together to ensure every child and parent has a safe place to call home.

When trauma strikes, keeping a family together is everything.

When Marcus lost his job, savings vanished and bills piled up, and the family was forced to live apart.

Every night, Elena tucked their kids into makeshift beds after saying goodnight to their dad over the phone.

Then they found Family Promise, and for the first time in months, they were back under one roof.
