Family Promise of Grays Harbor

Family Promise of Grays Harbor Family Promise prevents and ends homelessness for families with children and helps them achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Family promise of Grays Harbor believes every family deserves the chance to build a stable future and every child deserves a home. In Grays Harbor, we are the only shelter that keeps entire families together, regardless of age or household makeup. This is especially important for fathers and families with boys over 8, who are often separated in traditional shelters. We make it possible for them to

stay united during their most difficult times. Our shelter program is a way for our community to address the challenge of family homelessness by using existing resources. Not only does this make the program cost efficient, it makes it effective. Family Promise is not just about getting families into housing, but addressing all the underlying issues and using the community to keep them in housing. 85% of families find stable housing while in our program. And we continue to support them through our Stabilization Program, even after they find a home of their very own. Our Vision: a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future together.

***UPDATE***
As of today all of our Easter baskets are taken care of!!
Thank you all so much for thinking about and blessing our families!

Good morning!

Easter is approaching fast and each holiday presents an opportunity for the community to rally around the families in our program.

We have two families who are in need of a little Easter assistance this year.

We are asking for help to put together 6 Easter baskets for kids in our program.

If you’re able to contribute we’re looking for the following items:
—>Candy- some of the kids’ favorites include Reese’s peanut butter cups and skittles
—>2 Chocolate crosses- requested by 1 family
—>4 Chocolate bunnies
—>6 baskets
—> Small toys- our youngest is a 6 year old boy the rest are pre teen and teen boys and girls. Nee Doh toys seem to be a popular choice.

If you’re able to help please contact Angel at 360-986-3948 or [email protected]
If I’m unable to answer please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.

We appreciate all that our community does for our families in need. They work hard in our program to build a better life for themselves and their children and they can’t do it alone. You make this possible for them.
Thank you!

Please join us in thanking the Montesano Service League for their amazing book drive!

Because of your generosity, families in our program have a wonderful new collection of stories to share. These books provide more than just reading, they offer comfort and a sense of normalcy for children and parents as they work toward a stable future and the next chapter of their life.

We are so grateful for community partners who help us keep families supported and strong! Please join us in thanking the Montesano Service League in the comments below!

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on a legacy rooted in justice, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Dr. King believed that justice must include economic dignity and access to safe, stable housing. His vision reminds us that housing justice is fundamental to building a more equitable future for families and communities.

Help open the door to a brighter 2026! 🔑🏠

As we close out 2025 and step into the New Year, you have the power to provide the foundation every family deserves: a home.

A home is more than just a roof overhead—it is the foundation for stability, hope, and security. For a family facing homelessness, your year-end gift can be the difference between uncertainty and a fresh start.

Last year, more than 100 families turned to Family Promise of Grays Harbor for help. Why are we different?

💛 We keep families TOGETHER. We are the ONLY local shelter that ensures the entire family unit stays under one roof. This is critical for couples, fathers, and families with teenage boys who are often separated in traditional shelter settings.

💛 Holistic Support. From safe shelter and warm meals to crucial budgeting and permanent housing assistance, we walk alongside families every step of the way.

💛 100% Privately Funded. Family Promise of Grays Harbor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 81-2823181) that receives no state or federal funding. Because we are privately funded, 100% of your gift stays local and directly fuels our mission and the families we serve.

The need for our services continues to grow every day. Will you help a family find their way home before the clock strikes midnight?

Thank you for being a part of their story of resilience and hope!
