This unneutered male cat has endured severe pain and infection from puncture wounds likely received in a cat fight. Currently, under medical treatment for his jaw and infection, he requires more time in the care of ER professionals. The cost of this critical care is substantial, and Shelby, though not the cat's owner, stepped in to provide a lifeline when it was most needed. We ask for your generosity to assist in covering the hospital expenses for this brave cat. While the ER hospital has requested phone lines remain open, you can make a difference here by pledging your support through comments. This is the most vulnerable thing I’ve had to post, but we are reaching out for help for our beautiful boy Charlie.

Charlie developed severe eczema at 3.5 months of age. We have battled recurrent staph infections and have tried many different treatments. Steroids, antibiotics, natural therapies, supplements, probiotics, homeopathy, topical creams, moisturisers, air purifiers, 100% cotton clothing, water filters, extreme diets, allergen free bedding. We’ve seen paediatricians, dermatologists, allergists, GP’s, dieticians, naturopaths, homeopaths. We have had varying levels of success, but nothing has given him long-term relief.

We are unable to leave him unattended without his silk mittens on because he will scratch and rub his skin raw. Watching him so uncomfortable in his little body has been the most distressing experience of our lives and it has impacted our entire family.

We are hopeful to be on a positive path forward with a naturopath currently, however this journey comes with a financial burden that we are struggling to keep up with. Charlie’s eczema journey so far has cost us almost $8000. The ongoing tests and costs are overwhelming, but we are determined to help our little boy heal from the inside out. This is why we are reaching out to our village for help… something we never thought we would have to do.
Any support big or small would be so appreciated. Even if you can’t spare any money, we would love if you could share our journey.
