🌟 Learning, Growing & Making Connections! 🌟

Last week, our Parent Educators, Latasha Wardlaw and Mikayla Covington, had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 2026 Parents as Teachers National Conference ( ) in beautiful Portland, Oregon! ✈️💙

During the conference, they participated in engaging sessions focused on learning new techniques, strategies, and best practices to strengthen their home visiting services and better support the families they serve. They also connected with fellow Parent Educators from across the country, exchanged ideas, and gained fresh perspectives to bring back to their work. 🤝📚

Of course, there was also time to explore Portland, experience the local culture, and enjoy some delicious food! 🍽️🌆

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make such an enjoyable, meaningful, and memorable experience! ❤️

We are excited to see Latasha and Mikayla put their new knowledge and skills into action as they continue making a positive difference in the lives of the children and families they serve. The learning never stops when our goal is to help families thrive! 🌱💕

Today, our group connection at the First Steps office was filled with learning, laughter, and hands-on fun! We focused on apples and the fall season, talking about changes in the weather and what makes fall special.

The children had the opportunity to taste different types of apples and experiment with a variety of toppings, exploring different flavors and textures. We also enjoyed a fun Apple Jacks sorting activity, where the children practiced sorting by color while building fine-motor, cognitive, and early learning skills.

Most importantly, everyone had an amazing time connecting, participating, and enjoying one another’s company. It was a wonderful fall-themed group experience full of smiles, exploration, and togetherness! 🍎❤️🍏
