As October comes to a close, AG acknowledges the significance of annual checkups for women. This is why we want to highlight the generous contribution from our friends at Links Des Pink Cancer Org, who have graciously provided over 1000 FREE MAMMOGRAMS to those in need.

These 'Complimentary Mammogram Certificates' are now accessible for uninsured women in our community. If you or someone you know would like to benefit from this kind donation, please contact us for additional details. We are more than happy to address any inquiries you may have.

88 MAMMOGRAMS have been DONATED, VALUED AT $35,000.00 by LINKSdesPINK Cancer Org to Abbeville General Hospital to use for those that are less fortunate. Each certificate has a face value of approx. $400.00 each.

This donation could not have been accomplished without special help from Ray Landry, Administrative Director Abbeville General Hospital, and Kristi Hebert, RT, R, Diagnostic Imaging Director.

LINKSdesPINK Cancer Org. allows a maximum of 3 certificates per patient. These certificates can be used in 3 ways:

1) For an initial digital mammogram & reading by interpreting physician

2) For a follow up diagnostic mammogram & reading by interpreting physician

3) Ultrasound & reading by interpreting physician

Since our inception in 2007, Links des Pink Cancer Organization has raised just under $250,000. With no paid positions, all the net funds we received are 100% donated. The mission has always been to help our neighbors, friends & family.
