4 H Fun Show Reminder
Sunday April 6th, 3:00pm at Shantara Farm

Sack Race
*Helmet required for all events on horseback.

Join us this Sunday afternoon, March 3, from 3-5pm at Shantara Farm.
We will be reviewing common medical problems in the horse. Be prepared for a fun, hands-on discussion!
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday. All youth ages 5-19 are welcome.

In recent weeks our state has had 2 confirmed cases of Eastern Encephalitis and 1 case of West Nile virus in horses. Both diseases are transmitted by the bite of a mosquito.
Your horse is not protected from these diseases unless he has been vaccinated. Please do not overlook the importance of vaccinating your horse!

Our next Happy Hoofs 4H meeting will be this Sunday, May 6 from 3pm until 5pm at Shantara Farm.

Our club t-shirts may be available. Anyone who ordered shirts and has not paid for them, please be prepared to do so. There will likely be extras for purchase if desired.

We look forward to exciting projects to be presented by Tenrice Loner and Caroline Scott.

As a service project, the Happy Hoofs Club is collecting toiletry items during the months of January and February to be donated to The Foundation Recovery House in Greenwood, SC. The Foundation Recovery House is a residential drug and alcohol recovery facility for women.
If you would like to donate items, please contact our club coordinator, Tara Slatton, at 864-423-0223.
