We met at the Abbeville County Library System this week to present a donation and perform a service project. Part of our annual District Grant was dedicated to the library for the purchase new books and furniture for the juvenile section.

Today the Abbeville Rotary Club joined friends, family, and volunteers from the Angel Tree of Abbeville in the Annual Angel Tree Christmas Eve bicycle delivery to children throughout Abbeville County. A special thank you to Lori Glace and Tim Simpson for all you and the volunteers do throughout the year to make this day possible. Thank you for providing the Abbeville Rotarians an opportunity to help serve our community.

We are so very excited to welcome our newest member - Kristina Sutherly!

She moved to Abbeville in 2013 with her husband, Ron, and is eager to contribute her skills and experience to the Club's mission. Kristina is the Health Advocate and Special Initiatives Manager for the Abbeville County Library System where she gets to pursue her passion for helping others achieve a healthier quality of life. In her leisure time, you can find her engrossed in a book, taking a walk, or tending her garden; she finds the most joy when digging in the dirt in one other many flower beds.

Meet Briana! 👋

She attends Dixie High School Hornets. This fall she plans to attend Bob Jones University to study nursing.

In school, she excels academically and is currently completing her CNA degree through the dual enrollment program at the career center. On top of all this, she has also been involved in varsity sports (Basketball, Track, Cross Country) and school clubs (FFA, HOSIA, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society). In the community, she volunteers here time at the free clinic, angel tree, dog shelter, and bags of blessings.

Meet Slade! 👋

He currently attends Calhoun Falls Charter School. This fall he intends to start Lander University and study computer information systems.

In Calhoun Falls, he is an officer for the Future Farmers of America Chapter where he has been a part of service activities like building a community vegetable garden and delivering food to the community food pantry. He has also participated in community clean ups and packing for the Angel Tree. While playing football, baseball, and participating in the shot gun team, he also works at Ingles. Make sure to say hi and wish him congratulations next time you see him.
