Day 2 - Part 1 β˜€οΈπŸ€

The weather today was absolutely perfect for our Henry County 4-H summer campers!

From Animal Science Adventures, Survivor Session, the Giant Swing, paddleboarding and kayaking, the Mini Raptor Session, and the Regatta Boat Race, our campers stayed busy all day long. During free time, the rec field was filled with laughter thanks to the fun bubble machine and plenty of games with friends.

Of course, no camp day would be complete without a memorable adventureβ€”one of our girls managed to lose a shoe, leading to quite the search party before it was finally found! πŸ‘ŸπŸ˜‚

Overall, today has been a fantastic day full of fun, friendships, new experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime. πŸ’šπŸ€

Summer Camp Day 1 was definitely one for the books in my 7 years of coming to camp!

Yesterday, our campers experienced some rough weather that had us all taking cover and waiting it out without electricity. Sure, they got a little bored at times, but I was so proud of how they handled it. They made the best of the situation, found ways to entertain themselves, and kept their spirits high.

Once the storms passed, the fun was back on! The kids enjoyed swimming, Gaga Ball, basketball, and plenty of other activities around camp. Watching them jump right back into having fun was a great reminder that sometimes the most memorable moments come from the unexpected.

Needless to say, Day 1 may not have gone exactly as planned, but it will definitely be one we’ll never forget! Here’s to more adventures and hopefully a little less excitement from Mother Nature the rest of the week! β˜€οΈβ›ΊπŸ€πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ
