Thank you to Chad Walker, Founder and Head Trainer of Walker K9 Training and an officer with the North Port Police Department’s K-9 Unit, for joining tonight’s Rotary Club of Wellen Park meeting.

Chad and his wife, who is also a professional trainer with Walker K9 Training, shared valuable insight into dog behavior, responsible ownership, professional training, and the important role law-enforcement K-9 teams play in our community.

We also had the pleasure of meeting K-9 Officer Luca, Chad’s four-legged partner!

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from the Rotary Club at Wellen Park! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of American freedom, courage, and opportunity. From the vision of 1776 to the communities we continue building in 2026, the American spirit has always been defined by people willing to serve something greater than themselves.

As we begin this Rotary year under our District theme, Rotary Revolution, we're reminded that great revolutions aren't always fought on battlefields, they're built through service, compassion, and neighbors helping neighbors.

Today we honor those who secured our freedom, those who have defended it, and those who continue strengthening our nation through volunteerism and community service.
