GDA we a vision at creating a sustainable and zero plastic wastes world.

Generous Designs Africa (GDA) is a refugee-led organization with a primary focus on plastic waste recycling as a pathway to environmental protection, livelihoods creation, and community resilience. Generous Design Africa (GDA) formed in Yumbe District West Nile Sub-Region of Northern Uganda in 2020 and legally incorporated with Limited Liability under the Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URBS).

Registration No: 80020002664178 to operate countrywide in areas of environment, livelihoods, education and health to reach its goals and objectives for reduced greenhouses emissions and sustainable communities. GDA is using recycling art to make affordable, eco-friendly, durable, and waterproof African fabric products to create jobs for young women and unemployed youth while promoting innovative mindsets and protecting our environment from carbon emissions. We do this by upcycling plastic wastes to make products of high value such as laptop bags, school and shopping bags, and wallets and many products among other to protect the environment from the dangers of plastic waste accumulation and toxins generated through the burning of plastic wastes.

Our recycling centre in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, is a hub for sustainability.

We also empower youth through skilling programs and offer space for community services like peace building and menstrual health hygiene workshops.
