Building a Culture of Unity, Accountability and Service at I CAN South Sudan
At I CAN South Sudan, teamwork, reflection and collective responsibility are central to how we work.
From Monday to Thursday, our teams focus on implementing programs, supporting communities and delivering on our organizational commitments. Every Friday is dedicated to our General Weekly Meeting, where all departments and project leads provide updates on the work accomplished during the week, highlight achievements and challenges, and share priorities that require collective attention.
The meeting provides an open space for staff to react, contribute ideas and learn from one another. Through these discussions, we collectively agree on final resolutions and action points that guide our work in the coming week.
This culture of regular reflection and collective decision-making has helped keep our team united, focused, accountable and dedicated to serving the communities we work with.
Beyond our Friday meetings, we begin our working days with daily devotion and prayer. We strengthen and encourage one another through the Word of God and commit our day, our work and the communities we serve into God's hands.
We believe that organizational strength is not built by systems alone, but also through shared values, mutual respect, unity and a common sense of purpose.
As a team, we continue to move forward together—guided by prayer, strengthened by unity and committed to service.
