This day was more than a change of badges. It was a passing of a torch.
We gathered to honor the outgoing prefects’ body, young men and women who served with dedication, discipline, and heart. Through challenges and triumphs, who led by example, who kept order, they listened, stood for their fellow students. The school is better because they served.
To them we say: Thank you, for their legacy will walk these halls long after them.
And to the incoming prefects’ body — congratulations. The mantle has been placed on your shoulders. Leadership is not about a title or a tie. It’s about service. It’s about being the first to arrive and the last to leave. It’s about courage to do what is right, even when no one is watching.
The function was truly blessed to be graced by men of God. Canon Kisakye Abraham and a Reverend Kafeero Andrew whose words reminded us that leadership is a calling. “To whom much is given, much is required.” With authority comes responsibility to uplift, to protect, and to guide with integrity and humility.
