St. Patrick who an Irish by nationality, he moved into the USA as a missionary. St. Patrick used the Shamrock/Clover to demonstrate the Holy Trinity. God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.

As you can see the leaves of the Shamrock/Clover is naturally shaped into a heart form. A symbol used for Love.
