In celebration of Good Deeds Day, Bududa District was filled with compassion and hope through the Nalweza Outreach, led by Elgon Ebenezer Young Mothers Organization (EEYMO), Transcend Africa Foundation

12th April 2026 is a special day reminding us of the power of kindness and community as we came together to support, uplift, and stand in solidarity with those in need. From sharing essentials to spreading smiles and encouragement, every act of goodwill made a difference.

Together with Raising Teenagers, the School Club of Olive School, and other amazing partners, CACI—with generous support from donors through our Good Deeds Day online campaign “Put a Smile to the Children of the Slums of Kasokoso”.

We reached out to the children of Kasokoso slums and provided reusable sanitary pads, clothes, and scholastic materials to support their education, dignity, and well-being.

Seeing their smiles, hope, and renewed confidence reminded us why we do what we do. Every contribution, big or small, helped bring joy and opportunity to these young lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this initiative.

Today, CACI proudly joined millions of runners in the Kabaka Run, standing together in the fight against HIV.

Every step taken was a step toward awareness, prevention, and hope for a healthier future. Together, we are stronger, louder, and more committed to ending HIV in our communities.

Today, the world comes together to celebrate Good Deeds Day — a powerful reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple of change.

At Change African Child International, we are proud to join the rest of Uganda and the global community in spreading compassion, hope, and positive action.

“I believe every small act of doing good has the power to transform lives and build stronger, more caring communities.” — Resty Mutaawe, Executive Director

From supporting vulnerable children to uplifting families and empowering communities, today is a call for all of us to take action — no matter how small. A kind word, a helping hand, a shared smile — it all counts.

Let’s continue to stand together, inspire one another, and make doing good a daily habit, not just a one-day event.

In just a short while we will gather for a day rooted in generosity, shared responsibility and the joy of seeing young people lead with kindness, purpose and action.

The countdown is almost at its final stretch and this is the perfect time to get ready to take part in something meaningful, hopeful and community-driven.

🙌 From performances and exhibitions to tree planting, recognition moments and acts of giving, the celebration will reflect the beauty of people coming together to make goodness visible.

📅 Date: Friday, 10th April 2026
📍 Venue: The Olive School, Namugongo

🧡 Come along with a donation item: scholastic materials, sanitary products, food items or drinks.

Good Deeds Day Uganda 2026 is almost here!

A day to come together, give back, and spread kindness where it’s needed most. This year, we’re shining a light on the children of Kasokoso’s slums-because every child deserves hope, opportunity, and a reason to smile.

We’re still raising funds to support them, and every contribution-big or small-makes a real difference.

Do good & give something back:

This Good Deeds Day 2026, we’re supporting children in the slums of Kasokoso, Uganda. Many go to school without the basic supplies they need to learn & grow.

With just €100, we can provide essential school supplies and give these children not just tools for school, but confidence, opportunity, and a reason to smile 💛

In the slums of Kasokoso, Kampala, children show up to school every day without the basic supplies they need to learn. No notebooks. No pens. Just the will to keep going.

This Good Deeds Day, we have the chance to change that.

With just €100, we can provide essential scholastic materials to children in Kasokoso-giving them not just tools for school, but hope, confidence, and a reason to smile.

Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness creates the biggest impact.

Every contribution counts, no matter how small. When we come together, we prove that doing good is something everyone can be part of.

As a volunteer with CACI, you can make a valuable contribution to the lives of vulnerable children while simultaneously immersing yourself in the culture and lives of the people in Uganda.

Our volunteers Anna and Frida got the opportunity to join a traditional Ugandan introduction ceremony, a pre-wedding event where the bride formally introduces her groom and his family to her relatives, symbolizing family approval and the beginning of marriage negotiations.
