To transform the lives of Ugandan Women by alleviaing poverty, illiteracy and other social evils through empowerment strategies.

Network of Women in Agribusiness and Development (NoWAD) is a social enterprise founded and registered in Uganda, with the aim of transforming the lives of women and children. NoWAD aims at creating a self-supporting livelihood both economically and mentally among women who have been stricken with hardship due to poverty and dependency. NoWAD believes that through bridging the information gap, empowerment and skill development, women and girls can attain social equity.

Our Story

NoWAD was started by seven Ugandan women farmers who banded together in 2015 to found the Network of Women in Agribusiness and Development. We are already giving hundreds of poor women in rural communities the skills and confidence to improve their lives
