1️⃣ Marsha P. Johnson - A beacon of hope and resilience, Marsha was instrumental in the Stonewall uprising of 1969 and a co-founder of STAR, dedicated to supporting homeless transgender youth. Her activism and unyielding spirit continue to inspire the fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
2️⃣ Miss Major Griffin-Gracy - A tireless advocate for transgender women of color and prison reform, Miss Major’s leadership and advocacy have been crucial in the fight for justice and equality. Her work with the TGIJP has offered support and hope to many.
3️⃣ Lucy Hicks Anderson - A pioneering figure who lived her truth boldly in the early 20th century, Lucy fought for her right to love and be recognized as a woman at a time when it was nearly impossible. Her story is a testament to the enduring strength of living authentically.
Let’s celebrate the visibility, contributions, and rights of all transgender people today and every day. Together, we stand for love, equality, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves to live freely and authentically. 🏳️⚧️💖
