Communication is at the heart of inclusion.

Today, we recognise the importance of sign languages in creating communities where people can express themselves, participate fully and connect with others.

For young people with disabilities, inclusion means having spaces where they can communicate, share their experiences, access information and take part in opportunities that affect their lives.

☝️At Golden Boots Uganda , we believe that inclusion, health and opportunity go hand in hand.

Because being included is not simply about being present.

It is about being able to communicate. Participate. Be heard.

SPORT FOR ALL HEALTH FOR ALL.

The 2026 Blind Football Uganda Championship brought young people together through sport, but the impact went beyond the pitch.

Through our Inclusive SRHR through inclusive sport project supported by Stitching Dioraphte, during the 2026 Blind Football championship🏆, Golden Boots Uganda provided free Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services and information to young people in attendance.

These included:

📌 SRHR counselling
📌 HIV testing and counseling
📌 Risk reduction education
📌 Linkages to care and support

Creating access to health information within a sporting environment helps young people ask questions, get accurate information and connect with services that support their health and wellbeing.

For young people with disabilities, inclusive access matters.

At Golden Boots, we believe that sport can be a pathway to health, inclusion and opportunity.

Sport for all. Health for all.

More Than a Game💪🏆

Behind every athlete is a story of courage, determination and opportunity.

At the Blind Football Championship, we saw athletes with visual impairments take talent and passion to the pitch, compete with confidence and show what they can do.👌

For many young people with disabilities, opportunities to participate in sport are not always easy to find. But creating inclusive spaces gives them a chance to build confidence, connect with others and showcase their abilities.

The championship reminded us that when opportunity meets ability, the results can be powerful.

At Golden Boots Uganda , we believe sport should be a space where everyone can play, grow and lead together.

Beyond the Game🏆

The Blind Football Championship at Makerere Rugby Ground was more than a day of competition.

It was a reminder of what becomes possible when athletes have spaces where they can participate, compete and be recognised for their abilities.

We were proud to work together with Blind Football Uganda to bring athletes, teams, partners and supporters together for a day that celebrated talent, determination and inclusion.

At Golden Boots Uganda , we believe sport can create pathways to confidence, connection, health and opportunity.

The games may have ended, but the message remains: inclusive sport creates opportunities for everyone to play, grow and lead together.

4 DAYS TO GO🏆

Something exciting is coming to Makerere University Rugby ground this Saturday.🥳

Golden Boots Uganda is proud to be working with Blind Football Uganda on the 2026 Championship,🏆 bringing athletes, teams, partners and supporters together around the power of inclusive sport.

📆 - Saturday, 5th September 2026
📍-Makerere University Rugby Ground
⏰- 08:00AM - 05:00PM.

The championship will be more than a day of competition. It will be a space to celebrate talent, participation and the opportunities that become possible when Sport is made inclusive.

We can't wait to see the athletes take the pitch.

August was a month of learning, listening and showing up.🧡

Over the past few weeks,we spent time with with young people including those with disabilities and peer coaches creating spaces for conversations that matter.

From:
👉Taking Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information closer to young people who are deaf at UNAD Resource Center in Kiwanga.
👉Inclusive SRHR community session for young people in Kirundambata Village.
👉 Inclusive SRHR outreach Session for people living with albinism at Matayo foundation.
👉Partnering with Blind Football Uganda through inclusive sport on the 2026 Blind Football Championship.🏆
to strengthening peer coach led learning. We have been reminded of something simple:

👌Inclusion is not about just being invited. It is about having access, being heard and being able to participate.

There is still more work to do.

But every conversation, every training session and every young person who feels more confident to ask a question is one step forward.

As August comes to an end, we are carrying these lessons into a new month

We are proud to be working together with Blind Football Uganda to bring free SRHR services closer to young people during the 2026 Blind Football Championship.

Sport can open doors to conversations that matter.

Together, we're creating a space where young people can play, participate and access the information and services they need.

Here we go!!

In our beyond sport program, we are happy to collaborate with Golden Boots Uganda to give free Sexual reproductive health services at the 2026 Blind football Uganda Championship scheduled for 5th September at Makerere University rugby pitch in efforts to bring to such services close to our playing community and general public like HIV testing, cervical cancer screening, counseling and SHRH education.

Different experiences. Shared aspirations.

International Youth Day was marked on 12th August under the theme "Different contexts, Common Aspirations."

While young people grow up in different communities and face different challenges, many of our hopes are still the same: to be heard, t have opportunities, to stay healthy, to learn, to participate and build a future we can be proud of.

At Golden Boots, we believe young people with disabilities should be part of these conversations and not on the sidelines.

This month, we continue to celebrate young people who continue to learn, speak up, participate and contribute to their communities.

Your voice matters, Your potential matters, Your future matters.
