When young people especially youth with disabilities get trained to lead health conversations, entire communities transform.

On Monday 15th June Golden BootsUg in partnership with Stichting Dioraphte kicked off the Peer Coach Training in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights at our offices in Kyaliwajala.

Facilitated by Bugembe Nelson team Lead Twezuule Foundation♿️and Sheirat Namayanja from Uganda Network of YPLHIV the sessions were on topics like counseling, condom handling, service linkages among other key topics.

This will equip young coaches with the right information to pass on to their peers.
This is youth-led change in action.

Can protecting menstrual health also protect mental health?

This week, Golden Boots Uganda joins the call to break stigma and build safe, supportive environments where girls can thrive physically, emotionally, and confidently. Because dignity matters. 💙

Bridging the gap between sports and health for young people including those living with disabilities. This new project focuses on inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), covering essential topics such as:

📌Menstrual Health: Navigating periods.

📌Safe Relationships: Discussing STDs and protection against exploitation.

📌Accessibility: Overcoming negative attitudes and communication barriers in healthcare.

📌Privacy & Education: Ensuring private medical testing and proper knowledge of contraceptives.

Special thanks to Stichting Dioraphte for partnering with us on this initiative.

Did you know?

Many deaf people face serious barriers when seeking healthcare like Sexual Reproduction and Health Rights information because vital information is often shared verbally, without accessible communication support such as sign language interpretation or adapted visual information. This can make it harder to understand diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.

Let’s make healthcare communication accessible for everyone.
