OUR STORY

Hope of harmony uganda(HOHU) is a community based, charitable non-profit organization operating in Eastern Uganda in the Budama soroti districts. We engage in children's development with the overall goal of improving the livelihoods of orphans and other vulnerable children. We offer a sponsorship program which aims to help children and their communities to be transformed from helplessness and able to live a meaningful and sustainable life. HOHU was established in 2019 by RASHID LUSIBA and AKWAMO NELLY . Due to the generosity of being sponsored by the Carter family,we were inspired to establish our own sponsorship program.

But HOHU is much more than just a sponsorship program. It also provides private support education to 50 children. Through fundraising events and major donations,, Hope of harmony uganda developed a new program aiming to touch the lives of children with disabilities. A special education school is to be built with help of donors and well wishers . Children with disabilities are considered a misfortune. They are often hidden from their communities and are vulnerable to physical and sexual abuse. HOHU is going to change this, because EVERY CHILD MATTERS.

HOHU encourages sponsors to continue to sponsor and support their child into adulthood - it’s a lifelong commitment. We emphasises the importance of putting children through high school, university and supporting them when they one day have their own family. This is the only way we will make a real difference, to ensure that our children receive quality education, acquire a job and sustain a secure income.
