Behind every child who finds hope, there is someone who refused to look away. Today I want to recognize and celebrate a man whose heart beats for children who have no one else to stand for them — Charles Kalunda, the founder behind Marles Children’s Foundation and MCF Junior Schools.

Charles has dedicated his life to making sure that homeless children and vulnerable youth are not forgotten. Through his work, children who once had no shelter now have a safe place to sleep. Children who once had no access to education now sit in classrooms with dreams for the future. And children who once felt invisible are now seen, loved, and cared for.

This mission is not easy. It takes compassion, sacrifice, and the courage to keep going even when the need is overwhelming. Charles continues to push forward because he believes every child deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope.

To Charles — we see your work. We see your heart. And we wish you strength and success in everything you continue to do for these precious children. The world needs more people like you.

But the truth is, he cannot do this alone.

There are still many children waiting for someone to believe in them. Waiting for shelter. Waiting for food. Waiting for education. Waiting for hope.

Today, I humbly ask everyone reading this to consider sponsoring a child. With just $50 a month, you can help provide a child with shelter, basic needs, and access to education. What may seem small to us can completely transform a child’s life.

Your support can give a child:
• A safe place to sleep
• Meals and basic care
• The opportunity to go to school
• A chance to dream again

If Charles’ mission touches your heart, please consider making a donation or becoming a sponsor. Together, we can make sure no child is left behind.

Let’s stand with Charles Kalunda and support the incredible work being done through Marles Children’s Foundation and MCF Junior Schools.

Because every child deserves a future. ❤️

I am grateful for the support of friends and family in recognizing the transformation of Peace Nkamwesige, one of the fortunate beneficiaries of Marles Children's Foundation Uganda and MCF Junior Schools. This is precisely why we exist: to provide opportunities for sponsorship, starting at just $50 per month. Praise the Lord and allow me to always return the Glory, for he only deserves it. Phiona was take on by Marles Children's Foundation Uganda five years ago and see how she tremendously changed into a very focused and smart gal who is our Assistant Head girl of MCF Junior Schools but who knew. I take this opportunity to request you whoever is reading this post to consider making a difference in someone's life and become the reason for them to smile.

Mary Nambusi Founder, Marles Children’s Foundation Uganda

Mary Nambusi, born 25 September 1992, was raised in a Moslem family. Her father married her mother as a first wife and they were the first choice for him in everything. When her father married more women, the love, respect and care shifted from Mary and her mother.

He started mistreating Mary’s mother & battered Mary. This concerned the mother and she decided to find Mary a healthy home she can grow with love and care, so she decided to take Mary to stay with her Auntie to keep her away from the violent father.

Mary finally found solace in her aunt’s home. Unfortunately, the stay was short lived when her Auntie died of HIV. Her demise forced Mary to go to an orphanage that raised her and put her through school until Advanced level.
