We joined forces with Miss Climate Change Awareness Kirabo Patience Joyce for a community cleaning exercise in Kinawataka and Mbuya. The national directive for citizen-led environmental action comes at a point when SLS is increasingly conducting cleaning exercises in the operational areas.

Community sanitation and environmental stewardship have been part of SLS's strategic plan since 2018. For us, this is business as usual: clean, safe, livable settlements are foundational to everything else we do, from child protection to health outcomes.

Huge thanks to the Miss Climate team and every volunteer who showed up with gloves, gumboots, and energy. Environmental health is community health. 💚
