We have several children awaiting your support and Promise, 9 year old girl is one of those.

It is good to note that Karibu Children’s Project, A CFIU project for advancing children’s rights and education relies heavily on our existing sustainable agricultural projects like the chicken coop and the seasonal crops fields. This was aimed at sustainability but the times change and challenges face us. For this, the project also relies on our donors and individual sponsors to provide opportunities to children from marginalized backgrounds.

Your sponsorship will provide an underprivileged child with basic necessities such as food, clothing, healthcare and education. For just $42 a month, you can help to break the cycle of poverty and give a child like Promise hope for a brighter tomorrow.

2025 Menstrual Hygiene Day:

As CFIU, we remain committed to our agenda of advancing menstrual hygiene management for girls and young women.

And today, we join the world to commemorate this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day with the theme: "Together for a ."

We understand that in a period-friendly world, stigma and taboo about menstruation are history.

Guided by this year’s theme we continue to engage girls and young women within our community to emphasize collective action towards creating a world where menstruation does not limit access to education, health, or opportunity. With such engagements we also aim to eliminate stigma and taboos surrounding menstruation, ensuring everyone in our community has access to necessary products, education, and period-friendly infrastructure.

UPDATE: The Poultry Project's Ripple Effect!

We're still overwhelmed with gratitude for the poultry project gifted to our children's home!In our previous post, we shared how this project helped us navigate tough times. Today, we want to highlight the ripple effect it's had on our organization:

Food Security: Fresh eggs and meat have become a staple in our children's diet, boosting their health and energy levels.

Economic Growth: The project's generated income has helped us cover essential expenses, reducing our reliance on external aid when times were hard for givers and donors.

Life Skills: Our children have gained hands-on experience in poultry management, teaching them valuable skills in responsibility, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

Hope & Resilience: The project's success has instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in our children, helping them develop coping mechanisms during difficult times.

We can't thank Mizizi e.V and its donors enough for their visionary gift!

Your support has not only transformed our organization but has also empowered our children to become agents of change!

As an organization, most of our projects and interventions are crafted based on issues and plights around women as one of our target groups as they are a marginalized faction of our community but very important in achieving sustainable development; investing in women can greatly help to accelerate progress.

Project Spotlight;

Our journey explained, Our Gratitude, and A Call for more support.

As CFIU, we believe so much in sustainable models and we started out with the activity of grain cultivation which supports our agenda of helping to solve plights around the vulnerable and orphaned children within our community. And later on with support from an ambient German Association, Mizizi e.V. we implemented a poultry project whose proceeds from the sale of eggs go directly to supporting the children under our care; the poultry project also ensures food security and improvement in proper nutrition of the children as they feed on eggs.

We can’t skip thanking, the School Administrations who have also for years supported our agenda; our first beneficiaries (2 of the pioneer children were offered full bursaries to attain primary education and 3 were offered half bursaries for which as an organization paid half fees). This offer really got us off the ground and motivated us to push forward with our agenda of supporting Orphaned and Vulnerable Children.

Special thanks to the Individual donors who sponsor some of the kids, your one-time, monthly and quarterly contributions are pretty much appreciated. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the youngsters, thank you for bringing love and hope to them. Together we are creating a safe space for the kids where they feel loved and cared for.
