Civil Empowerment Programme on Appropriate Practices - CEPAP Uganda Ugandan Community Based NGO started in 2003 to Empower HIV/AIDS affected communities in a more right-based approach, targeting the most vulnerable.

Civil Empowerment Programme on Appropriate Practices (CEPAP) Uganda is a legally registered non-profit, non-religious, and a Ugandan Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that started its activities in Moyo district - Northern Uganda. Due to the level of growth the Organisation experienced mainly from 2008 to 2011; based on the capacity building programmes of the different partners that we work wit

h; we have expanded in operations to cover the whole of West Nile and Eastern Uganda; with it's offices in Kisoko, Tororo. CEPAP Uganda has core competence in designing, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of;
• Orphan & other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Care & Support Projects,
• HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care & Support Projects,
• Community Based Malaria Prevention Projects, and
• Good Governance & Accountability Projects. CEPAP Uganda encourages beneficiary and community participation throughout the project cycle, and we have a well defined management system that is guided by a number of policy documents. Since our inception in July 2003, we have attracted a number of Partners and Donors so as to realise our aims and objectives. Some of these include and is not limited to;
• Civil Society Fund (CSF) from 2008 to 2012 for both HIV prevention and OVC Care & Support Projects,
• UNICEF-Uganda - for OVC Care and Support projects,
• Global Fund - for HIV prevention,
• Care International in Uganda - for good governance and accountability projects,
• MAYANK Anti-Corruption Coalition – for good governance and accountability projects,
• JCRC/Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG) – for HIV prevention projects, and
• Many Other Individuals and groups to whom we are appreciative too.
