Report by one of our nurses “Good morning, esteemed colleagues. The care we provide truly instills hope in our patients. I recently encountered a gentleman with Kaposi's sarcoma and HIV on highly active antiretroviral therapy. His primary concern that day was debilitating pain that hindered his ability to sleep, and he had been referred to the cancer institute by one of our clinicians. I administered pain medication, and we parted ways. He later contacted me from the cancer institute, expressing gratitude for the medication, which their team advised him to continue. Two days ago, I saw him again, and I am pleased to report that he is significantly improved, having commenced chemotherapy, and his hope has been restored. This brief testimony serves as a testament to the impact of our efforts as caregivers, demonstrating that our work is not in vain.” By Stella RN
