📢 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

LERWA-Land and Environmental Rights Watch Africa is a non-profit organization committed to promoting and protecting land and environmental rights, strengthening grassroots resilience, and advancing sustainable livelihoods through advocacy, education, and community empowerment.

LERWA seeks to recruit a Finance and Administrative Officer to strengthen its financial management and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial statements, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and compliance with statutory obligations.
• Oversee procurement processes, asset management, and general office administration.
• Support project financial planning, expenditure tracking, and audits.
• Maintain efficient filing and documentation systems for both finance and administrative records.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, trainings, and field activities.
• Strengthen and enforce internal control systems and organizational policies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in a similar position, preferably in a non-profit or development organization.
• Demonstrated competence in financial management, accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or Tally), and budget control.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability in handling financial information.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and financial reporting tools.
