Meet Grace Akello, a hardworking mother of 3 and food vendor in Amen B, Soroti Municipality. She buys fresh produce from local farmers and sells in small quantities to support her family.
Before, Grace relied on dim lamps and unreliable electricity that came with costly bills. But everything changed when she received an affordable solar lamp from Rural Community Development Initiative. For the past 4 years, this lamp has helped her extend her business hours and light up her home during blackouts.
Now, Grace earns more and her children can study comfortably at night. A simple solar lamp made a big difference!
