Rukungiri Women Integrated Development Foundation is a rural based Non-governmental organization based in Ruhinda Rukungiri district. The organization which started way back as a small community based organisation in 2002 under the name of Ruhinda Women Integrated Development Foundation with its head offices in Ruhinda Sub County in Rukungiri District, has seen it grow over years and transiting fr

om a community based organization to a Non-Government organization registered and fully established to undertake the big scope of work that the organization is currently having on its shoulders. RWIDF’s mission is to “strengthen community capacity for improved and sustainable livelihood through collaborative approaches.”
Our vision is “to eradicate poverty and raise the living standards of the rural population of Uganda’s Western region.”

RW IDF's strategic objectives include;-

1. To work for the uplifting the status of women in the society and the communities in which they live.
2. To help and generate training programme for self-employment of women and illiterate unemployed people and to work for adult education.
3. To work for uplifting poor rural/village people for their overall development.
4. To create awareness among the people regarding AIDS etc.
5. To create training/ Sensitization on Water and Sanitation, Health (WASH) Projects in the community.
6. To propagate the need for tree plantation/pollution control and environmental awareness.
7. To provide help under health and nutrition services for women and children
