We have conducted a menstrual health training session at the Kigali community, where girls and women showed great curiosity, excitement, and willingness to learn about safe and healthy menstrual care.
During the session, participants actively engaged by asking questions, sharing experiences, and learning more about menstrual hygiene in a safe and open environment.
At the end of our training session, we distributed menstrual flow cups and provided guidance on their proper use and benefits to support safe, sustainable, and dignified menstrual care. ✨

Through this initiative we will reach over 2500 community members, including students, teachers, and local leaders, to promote menstrual health awareness and period-positive in Nakivale.

As part of the project 500 sanitary pad packs will be distributed to support school girls during implementation.

Together we continue creating awareness, dignity, and positive change.

She waited and now she has it. 🧡

Rachel was one of our very first menstrual health beneficiaries in Nakivale but missed the cup distribution that day.
She never gave up and neither did we that’s why today she finally has her cup and her gratitude says it all. 🙏
This is what consistency looks like and what impact feels like.

Thank you for keeping us equipped and standing with women like Rachel every step of the way. 🧡

Empowering women and girls with knowledge, dignity, and sustainable solutions
We Empower Her successfully conducted a menstrual health training session within the Somali community, creating a safe space for women and girls to learn, share experiences, and openly discuss menstrual health without stigma.
Participants were equipped with essential knowledge on menstrual hygiene management and introduced to the use of menstrual flow cups as a safe, reusable, and eco-friendly solution. We also distributed menstrual flow cups to support their comfort, confidence, and dignity.
Together, we continue working towards stronger, healthier, and more empowered communities one step at a time.

We had a great and productive meeting with the leaders of Ngarama village to explore collaboration focused on menstrual health.
Following our discussion, we successfully conducted a training session where women and girls gained practical skills in menstrual hygiene management and learned how to safely use menstrual cups. The session also strengthened their knowledge and confidence around menstrual health.

Today, we stepped into the community not just to teach, but to listen, share, and empower.
We held a training on menstrual cups and personal hygiene opening a safe space where women and girls could learn, ask questions, and break the silence around menstrual health.
This was more than a training it was about dignity, confidence, and giving every girl the power to take control of her own body with pride and knowledge.

This is how change begins together.

Breaking the silence, restoring dignity
In Sangano, 55 women and girls came together in a safe space to learn, share, and grow. Through open conversations on menstruation and hands-on training in menstrual cup use, we are not only improving menstrual hygiene—but also challenging stigma and building confidence.
Every smile, every question, and every shared experience is a step toward a future where no girl feels ashamed of her period.
