SSHJM WACFO ever green and always innovative π
π±π₯ Turning Waste into Clean Energy and Building Climate-Resilient Livelihoods! π
Today, the WACFO Climate Resilient Livelihoods Department distributed briquette production equipment to a group in Kal B Cell, Pabbo Town Council, registered under the MMG Year 2 Project, supported by Misean Cara.
The group will use the equipment to produce green charcoal briquettes as an alternative cooking fuel, helping reduce dependence on traditional charcoal and contributing to environmental conservation. The surplus briquettes will also be sold to generate income and strengthen household livelihoods.
π³ As part of the initiative, the group will be supported to establish woodlots and plant fruit tree seedlings as a climate action measure. These activities will contribute to carbon sequestration, restoration of degraded land, prevention of biodiversity loss, and improved household food and income security.
This initiative brings together clean energy, agroforestry, biodiversity conservation, climate action, and income generationβdemonstrating how sustainable livelihood solutions can help communities become more resilient while protecting our environment. ππ
Together, we can build resilient livelihoods while caring for our common home!
