We request for your kind support to enable us purchase the supplies in order to enable the kids resume school on 3rd Feb.
We need to purchase supplies for 30 kids and Each kid needs $20 for the supplies including Books, pens, Pencils, crayons,new water bottles and others need new school bags.
With school supplies, they will be allowed in school and then we can pay school fees later and slowly.
So we're relying on your generosity to help us take them back to school.

We're thrilled to announce that we upgraded from a community based charity status to a National Nonprofit Organization status. From just a community " Orphans' Sanctuary " to now a national support centre.
We have been granted a national certificate of incorporation from Uganda Registration Services Bureau that confirms that we have upgraded from a community based charity to a National Nonprofit Organization.
BUSIKI ORPHANS' SANCTUARY AND SUPPORT CENTRE

It's been a challenging journey that we have moved right from the start since 2013 but through your support and endless prayers, we've been able to thrive.
To our team of board members and volunteers, this reminds us how far we've come in impacting the lives and how many people we've touched.
This achievement means it's just the start and we promise to impact as many lives as we can.

Over 50 kids got sorted with school supplies.
Many kids get sent back home due to lack of books, pens and pencils. Life becomes even more difficult most especially to orphans and children from poor families.
And that's exactly the reason we give out school supplies to these children in our community every school term!

You can also join us to bless the lives of these poor kids.
We welcome any kind of support and kind donations.
We accommodate 30 orphaned kids since 2013, we need to feed them, accommodate and pay their school fees!

This is Nakanwaji Rania. One of our new children at Orphans’ Sanctuary Uganda. She is
the last born of 3 siblings. She lost her father to HIV/AIDS beore she was even born.She never had a chance to experience father’s love. And very unfortunate, her mom also contracted the Virus and is still battling it. Due to the fact that Rania’s dad was the back born and bread winner of the family, Rania’s mother could not pay rent anymore after losing the husband.

They were therefore sent out of the house for failure to pay rent. Luckily, the good Samaritans who witnessed while they were being forced to vacate the rental premise directed the mother to us. She came and narrated her melancholy life experience/story which made us discover that she had nowhere to run to except the Sanctuary.
She implored us to allow her volunteer through washing clothes and cooking in reward for accommodation and food for both the mother and Rania.Without hesitating, we had to accept because we absolutely couldn’t accommodate only the baby and let the mother live on the streets which would expose her life to risks like r**e, death etc.The mother is currently one of the volunteers at Orphans' Sanctuary Uganda and doing a very great job helping with cooking, washing, fetching water and many other things.
Rania's life improves everyday and she is currently in Nursery school ( Top Class ).
She's turning 5yrs on 9th of March.

CHILD'S INTERESTS

Loves playing with fellow kids.
Watching cartoons.
Loves going to school daily.
Attending church.
Reading fairy tales to her.
Loves dancing and singing.

CHILD BACKGROUND
This is KABANDA RAZAK a male orphan born 23/07/2016. He lost both parents due to HIV/AIDS. He was living with his jobless helpless grandmother who always used him as a beggar to be able get food and other basic needs.
She had turned him into a street Beger at a young age until she couldn’t do it no more. She told us that it isn't what she wished her grandchild, but because she never had no support at her old age and lost the only support she had { Razak’s late father }.
When she learnt of the Impact that our orphanage has done in the community, she handed him to us so he could enjoy his childhood rights like other kids. Unfortunately, Razak’s grandmother later succumbed to breast cancer.
Because Razak used to live with only his grandmother in a small house
in a deep busy area, he is still in a process learning to associate with
fellow children. He is a loving, kind and polite boy though.
Razak is in primary 2 now!

GOALS OF THE CHILD
He wants to help poor children.
He wants to be a builder/architect because he wants to build a big home for the poor
kids

INTERESTS
He loves to explore new things..
Watching TV.
Loves going to school.
Loves to play video games on phone.
Reading stories for him.
Loves Chicken, beef and rice so much.

This is how Kibwika Shahid's Life Transitioned after joining Orphans' Sanctuary Uganda.
He had never been to school at 8yrs.
Him and his brother Sula lost their both parents and Started living with a guardian who treated them like wild animals. By the time we met them, they were sleeping in a chicken Coop at their guardians place.
They ate on rare occasions.
Almost walked naked without clothes.
They were always sickly even after joining us because they contracted a number of ailments due to their sleeping conditions.
Immediately after joining Orphans' Sanctuary Uganda, all his rights were restored, taken to school,and started getting all the basic needs as a child!
Shahid is now 20yrs.
We request you all to support us so we can continue to save the lives of such children like this whose lives are at risks and rights violated.
