Where there is no honor, there is dishonor.
Honor is not merely a feeling or a word; it is demonstrated through how we treat, listen to, value, respect and respond to people whom God has placed in our lives.
- It is righteous to honor and unrighteous to dishonor.
- Honor makes things go well with you, while dishonor makes things not go well with you.
When you dishonor someone, you may think you are affecting them, but in many cases, you are the one who loses more.
๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ 53:3
Jesus was rejected, despised and dishonored, yet He remained who He was.
- This shows us that even when God has placed something valuable in a person, people can still fail to recognize and honor it.
Being dishonored does not necessarily mean that the person has lost their value. Sometimes, it reveals the condition of the person who is dishonoring.
When pride grows, honor decreases.
1. When pride grows, honor decreases.
2. When you refuse to believe or receive what someone carries simply because you are familiar with them, you may be dishonoring what God has placed in them.
3. โI know this person. What can they really tell me?โ Familiarity can make you despise what you once valued.
4. Dishonor can become so serious that it affects relationships, ministry and even what people are able to receive.
5. The person who represents a leader must be honored.
Failure to honor those whom God has sent is a sign of dishonor.
6. When someone gets close to you and spares their time for you, they have honored you.
Do not treat people's time, presence or investment in your life as though it means nothing.
7. God appoints men. If God has appointed someone, you don't have to compete with themโyou have to honor what God has placed on their life.
8. Honor does not mean you agree with everything someone does. It means you refuse to respond to them with dishonor.
9. Honor opens doors; dishonor closes doors.
Honor attracts favor; dishonor causes you to lose favor.
Honor positions you to receive; dishonor can make you reject what you need.
10. Sometimes the door you are praying for is connected to the person you have failed to honor.
Honor is not weakness. Honor is righteousness.
