Care concern Uganda started in 2008 as an outreach program in the suburbs of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono cities. Albert Wandera is the founder and team leader

It was later launched in 2012 at the time it became officially recognized by the government hand. The great Nelson Mandela said “there can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children”. We have found this true especially in regard to the communities we operate in because our society really values children even though many families are often limited by th

e resources at their disposal to give children the care they deserve. Care Concern Uganda works with families, communities, and other stakeholders to create safe and nurturing environments for children to reach their full potential. At the very core of our work is skilful parenting, ending violence against children and ensuring that all children are in school. These are embedded in well-targeted economic empowerment and agribusiness programmes that aim to improve household income and food security. In our experience, this combined approach leads better chances of sustainably securing the well being of children and families.
