On this Valentine’s Day, we are delighted to share wonderful news about our Sustainable Goat Rearing Project 💕

This life changing initiative has been generously sponsored by our beloved friends John and Lois S. of Fort Worth, Texas, Marilyn W. of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Gayle D. of New Orleans, Louisiana.

We are excited to report that two of our goats have already given birth, and one delivered healthy twins 🐐🎉
The project goal is to sustainably provide milk and meat for our students while also functioning as a vocational skills program for Agriculture students. It will equip them with hands on experience in modern animal husbandry and responsible livestock management.

Our medical clinic is off to a great start!
Yesterday, we conducted a medical camp where 421 people benefited from a wide range of health services, including:
• Cancer screening and sensitization
• Dental care (extractions and sensitization)
• HIV testing and counselling
• Malaria testing and treatment
• Blood pressure and diabetes screening
• Antenatal care, with distribution of mama kits to pregnant mothers
• General medical check-ups and treatment
• Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) sensitization session

We were privileged to be joined by nurses from the Infectious Diseases Institute, Mulago, who sensitized the community and carried out specialized tests. Nurses from the Health Center III also participated by immunizing children.

Our dedicated medical team comprising doctors, dentists, nurses, clinical officers, Village Health Teams, and social workers—worked tirelessly to ensure every patient received quality care.

We were also honored to have the support of Rotarians, including the Assistant Governor, who joined us in serving the community.

Together, we made a meaningful difference in people’s lives! 🙏

-General (dewoming, skin - rash, wounds, cough, malaria, headech)

-Health talk (counseling on menstrual hygiene, hygiene, sanitation & nutrition

-Blood pressure & blood sugar testing
-HIV testing & counseling
Malaria & TB testing
-Cancer screening
-Gynecology & obstetrics – pregnancy checkups, antenatal care, family planning counseling and reproductive health among others.
