CLF Uganda

CLF Uganda CLF Uganda is a Not-for-Profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and women through education, health, and opportunity in Uganda since 2001

CLF’s primary focus is to empower girls and women by offering diverse education programs aimed at preparing them to live to their full potential. The Candle Light Foundation Uganda runs Candle Light High School which provides an education for those who have been less fortunate, provides skill sets that will create opportunities after graduation, and runs the Rotary Hygiene and Sanitation Social E

nterprise which provides menstrual hygiene management training and reusable sanitary pads; so girls stay in school, have a safe space, grow in confidence and grow in self esteem. CLF provides counselling and opportunities to help the girls achieve their DREAMS.

Candle Light Foundation is proud to share that our Co-Founder and International Director, Rosette Nabuuma, had the honour of serving as a panelist at the Premiere Screening of in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Hosted by CLF Iceland, and sponsored by the Government of Iceland, the event focused on the important topic of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and its impact on the lives, education, and well-being of girls.

The panel provided an opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges surrounding menstrual health, and highlight the importance of ensuring that girls have access to education, dignity, and the resources they need to thrive.

We are grateful to CLF Iceland and the Government of Iceland for creating this important platform for dialogue and advocacy. ❤️
